Mangosteen

                “ Mangosteen “


        Mangosteen is classified as Garcinia mangostana . It is a  tropical furit native to Southeast Asia  in China, Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan and Singapore. It is not expensive fruit. The mangosteen tree is very slow-growing. It can grow up to 6 - 25 m (20–82 ft) . A mangosteen tree usually can bear fruit after 5–6 years, but more typically require 8–10 years. It has dark green elipstic leaves . But, new leaves are rosy.  The fruit can grow up to 6-8 cm. The flesh is white. It is very soft. Mangosteen fruit contains xanthones -- chemical compounds thought to have anti-oxidant properties.
Mangosteen contains for a lot Energy, Carbohydrates, Dietary fiber, Water, Protein and fat. The mangosteen is sweet , tangy, juicy, and somewhat fibrous.
Mangosteen can for the treatment arthritis, diarrhea, infections, tuberculosis and eczema. Mangosteen tastes sweet but, sometime sour.
